It’s International Women’s Day on March 8th, so we’ve rounded up some of the most inspirational women in the hair industry. With their incredible accomplishments in not only the hair industry but also business, entrepreneurship, diversity and education we can all be inspired by their achievements.
Lisa Price
In 1993, Lisa Price was encouraged by her mother, Carol, to start her own line of haircare that catered to natural, textured hair. She began Carol’s Daughter which is one of the first African American-owned product lines. In 2014, Carol’s Daughter was acquired by L’Oreal and is still a mainstay for women worldwide.
With no parabens, sulphates, petrolatum, mineral oil or artificial colours, Carol’s Daughter products are made for all textures and hair types. Just like us, they care about looking after your hair.

As the ultimate trendsetter, Odile is still at the forefront of what’s “in”. Get the perfect Odilie style even quicker with our Softhood®. At only $18.95/ £14.95, set your curls rapidly so you are ready to take on the next Odilie trend before anybody else.
Kim Kimble
As a hairstylist and natural hair educator, Kim Kimble is the Queen of the hair industry. She has worked with celebrities such as Beyoncé, Halle Berry, Kelly Rowland, Mary J Blige, Shakira and Rihanna to create iconic looks.
With a line of her own products, Kim’s philosophy is that healthy hair and great style should coexist – just like us. Why not try a new style embracing your natural hair with our accessories? The silk scarves are currently our favorite to style with!
