Looking for ways to care for your naturally curly hair whilst in Lockdown? We spoke to Curly expert Phil Smith to get his top tips

• Finish your conditioner first

For curly haired girls, conditioner is your best friend and should be used liberally in order to inject as much moisture as possible. You should always finish your conditioner before your shampoo. My Curly Locks Curl Perfecting Conditioner can be used as an overnight treatment by distributing through damp hair, tie-ing in a bun on the top of your head and washing out the next morning for an extra moisture boost.

• Keep curls sleek in order to show them at their best

Rub a small amount of my Curl Control Cream into the palms of your hand and apply evenly through the mid lengths and ends. This helps to prep hair before blow drying by keeping rebellious locks in check, smoothing the hair to allow for flexible, glossy curls.

• Remember the finishing touch

Finish by gently ’raking’ fingers through curls to create a defined but natural result. Follow by spritzing a light shower of my Curl Perfecting Spray to tame any pesky flyaways whilst also protecting and polishing the curls for a luxurious, salon style finish.
