Do you have any PPE you can donate? How can the hair industry help?

The hair industry can help front line workers during the outbreak of coronavirus.

Our essential helpers are desperately short of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the globe. Any of us can help by donating unused masks and gloves to hospitals for frontline staff.

Many hair salon owners, clinic owners and suppliers are already donating their spare masks and gloves and clothing companies changing production to help protect the lives of those who are working and being treated at hospitals and you can too.

What is needed?
Fluid-repellent surgical masks
Disposable gloves
Alcohol hand rub and sanitisers
Protective eye wear
Long-sleeved plastic aprons
Plastic shoe covers
Disposable hygienic bags and boxes

In the US find your nearest donation point: https://getusppe.org/give/

In the UK you can arrange a drop off by contacting the emergency planning officer at your local NHS Trust, details of which can be found on each individual NHS Trust website: https://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/pages/nhstrustlisting.aspx

Let us know of any other country organisations and we’ll add them to our list.

We’d love to know what you and your salon teams as well as hair brands are doing to help.

Thank you to our frontline workers
